Professor/ Associate Professor/ Assistant Professor (Computer Science/IT)

Job Description:

1. Teaching and Instruction:
   • Develop and deliver undergraduate and graduate courses in Computer Science and related areas.
   • Employ various teaching methodologies to engage students effectively.
   • Provide mentorship and guidance to students on academic and career-related matters.
   • Contribute to curriculum development and updates to ensure alignment with industry trends and academic standards.
2. Research and Scholarship:
   • Conduct innovative research in Computer Science, Information Technology, or relevant interdisciplinary areas.
   • Publish research findings in high-impact journals and present at reputable conferences.
   • Seek external funding opportunities to support research activities.
   • Collaborate with colleagues, industry partners, and research institutions on interdisciplinary projects.
3. Student Supervision and Advising:
   • Supervise graduate students (Master's and PhD) in their research projects, theses, and dissertations.
   • Provide academic and career advising to students, guiding them in their educational and professional pursuits.
   • Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student success and personal growth.
4. Service and Engagement:
   • Participate in departmental and university committees, contributing to administrative and governance activities.
   • Engage in outreach activities to promote Computer Science education and raise awareness of the department's initiatives.
   • Serve as a resource person for industry partnerships, internships, and collaborative projects.
   • Contribute to the professional development of peers through workshops, seminars, and other knowledge-sharing platforms.
5. Professional Development:
   • Stay abreast of advances in Computer Science and related fields through continuous learning and professional development.
   • Attend conferences, workshops, and seminars to network with peers and exchange knowledge.

Qualifications:

1. Education: PhD in Computer Science or a closely related field.
2. MCA / MSc in Computer Science or Information Technology
3. Teaching Experience: Demonstrated ability to teach effectively at the university level, with a commitment to student success and engagement. Applicants, including fresh Ph.D. graduates, are also encouraged to apply
4. Research Excellence: Strong research record demonstrated by publications in peer-reviewed journals and presentations at conferences. Experience in securing external research funding is desirable.
5. Leadership and Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, students, and external stakeholders. Leadership experience in academic, research, or professional settings is an asset.
