PLANT HEAD (WOOD DEPARTMENT) - RAIPUR

Job Description:

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Plant Head to lead our wooden manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of plant operations, including production, quality control, safety, and personnel management. The Plant Head will play a key role in driving efficiency, optimizing production processes, and ensuring the highest standards of quality while fostering a positive work environment.

Responsibilities:

Provide leadership and strategic direction to the wooden manufacturing plant, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
Oversee all aspects of plant operations, including production planning, scheduling, inventory management, and quality control.
Develop and implement efficient production processes to maximize output while minimizing costs and waste.
Monitor production metrics, analyze data, and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and efficiency.
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards, implementing safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
Manage and mentor a team of supervisors, technicians, and production workers, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and professional development.
Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement, logistics, and maintenance, to ensure seamless operations and timely delivery of products.
Implement and maintain quality assurance programs to meet or exceed customer expectations and industry standards.
Develop and manage the plant budget, controlling costs and optimizing resources to achieve financial targets.
Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices, implementing innovations and advancements to enhance plant performance.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging employee involvement and empowerment in problem-solving and decision-making processes.
Communicate effectively with senior management, providing regular updates on plant performance, challenges, and opportunities.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Management, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
Proven experience in a leadership role within a wooden manufacturing plant, with a strong understanding of production processes and quality standards.
Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve goals and objectives.
In-depth knowledge of manufacturing principles, lean methodologies, and process improvement techniques.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
Proven track record of driving operational excellence, achieving targets, and delivering results in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP/MRP systems.
Certification in Lean Six Sigma or other relevant certifications is a plus.
