Job Description:

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and oversee the installation of mechanical systems and equipment used in water treatment processes, including pumps, valves, filtration systems, and piping networks.
  • Conduct detailed engineering calculations, feasibility studies, and risk assessments to ensure the efficient and effective operation of mechanical systems.
  • Collaborate with other engineering disciplines, such as civil, electrical, and chemical engineers, to integrate mechanical systems into overall plant design and operation.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to operations and maintenance staff to troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, optimize performance, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime, extend equipment lifespan, and reduce operational costs.
  • Stay abreast of technological advancements and industry best practices in water treatment and mechanical engineering to recommend improvements and upgrades.
  • Participate in the selection, procurement, and commissioning of new equipment, ensuring compliance with project specifications and budgetary constraints.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Proven experience in mechanical engineering roles, preferably in the design, installation, and maintenance of mechanical systems in water treatment plants or similar facilities.
  • Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar programs.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and regulations related to water treatment and mechanical engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites and work occasional evenings or weekends as required.
