Job Description:

We have an opening for the post of Architectural Designer for a reputed company for their Mumbai (Lower Parel) Head Office.

Reporting to:
Project Designer > Senior Designer > Design Director


The Opportunity:

  • You will be a part of a growing design team that looks to innovate how we design and build.
  • The role will be focused on assisting in the design and execution of the new centers, along with the design management of the current centres.



Key Responsibilities:


Design + Construction

  •  Designing and delivering to the highest quality through all stages
  •  Constant design evaluation with physical models, 3D-modelling and rendering
  •  Assisting in preparation of presentation drawings and otherwise assisting in presentations both internally & externally
  •  Market research and sourcing for materials, products and construction techniques
  •  Assist in the design and development for projects
  •  Assisting the team in project execution with periodic design/progress reports
  •  Construction drawings and documents, along with liaising with vendors and contractors
  • Assisting with the required changes in the individual tenant spaces while maintaining design coherency. This will involve cross team collaboration with the internal sales and operations team for designing and executing potential client requirements.
  • Researching and understanding from Dextrus’ operations and marketing teams on how to create better designed centres that enable utility and community engagement
  • Assisting in the preparation as-built and handover drawings and documents once construction is completed


Project Management

  • Follow all construction management processes to ensure design conformity in execution
  • Aid in the timely execution of the design and procurement processes and carry out quality checks at the site.
  •  Assist in production of periodic project documentation with the aid of design/progress reports


Experience and Qualifications:

  •  Bachelor or Diploma degree in architecture or interior design
  •  0–2 years of experience in an architecture or interior design practice
  •  Understanding of architectural design, detail and techniques
  •  Should be able to execute quick and accurate 2D & 3D design and construction documents
  •  Ability to work freely with minimum supervision and adherence to systems and
  • procedures
  •  Able to communicate design ideas verbally and visually
  •  Curious and willing, with the ability to take guidance and work as a team
  •  Problem-solving, judgement, time-management and organisational skills are essential


Technical Skills:

  •  Fluent user of AutoCAD, Rhino, and Vray rendering
  •  Fluent user of Microsoft office (Excel, particularly)
  •  Fluent user of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, and In Design)
