Job Description:
Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, machinery, and equipment in compliance with electrical codes and regulations.
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks on electrical systems and equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Troubleshoot electrical malfunctions and implement effective solutions in a timely manner to minimize disruptions to production processes.
- Inspect electrical systems, components, and equipment to identify potential hazards or defects and take appropriate corrective actions.
- Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to plan and execute electrical projects, upgrades, and modifications.
- Conduct tests and inspections of electrical systems to verify functionality, safety, and compliance with industry standards.
- Keep accurate records of electrical maintenance activities, including work performed, parts used, and maintenance schedules.
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Stay current with advancements in electrical technology and industry best practices through training and professional development opportunities.
- Assist in the development and implementation of electrical maintenance procedures and protocols to optimize efficiency and reliability.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a recognized apprenticeship program or technical training in electrical systems preferred.
- Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent certification required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working as an electrician in an industrial or manufacturing environment, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and equipment, including motors, generators, transformers, switchgear, and control systems.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Familiarity with electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards, such as NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) and OSHA regulations.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and repair electrical problems efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality workmanship.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed, especially during emergencies or scheduled shutdowns.
