Job Description:

Responsibilities:

  1. Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, machinery, and equipment in compliance with electrical codes and regulations.
  2. Perform preventative maintenance tasks on electrical systems and equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  3. Troubleshoot electrical malfunctions and implement effective solutions in a timely manner to minimize disruptions to production processes.
  4. Inspect electrical systems, components, and equipment to identify potential hazards or defects and take appropriate corrective actions.
  5. Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to plan and execute electrical projects, upgrades, and modifications.
  6. Conduct tests and inspections of electrical systems to verify functionality, safety, and compliance with industry standards.
  7. Keep accurate records of electrical maintenance activities, including work performed, parts used, and maintenance schedules.
  8. Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others.
  9. Stay current with advancements in electrical technology and industry best practices through training and professional development opportunities.
  10. Assist in the development and implementation of electrical maintenance procedures and protocols to optimize efficiency and reliability.

Qualifications:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a recognized apprenticeship program or technical training in electrical systems preferred.
  2. Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent certification required.
  3. Minimum of 3 years of experience working as an electrician in an industrial or manufacturing environment, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
  4. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and equipment, including motors, generators, transformers, switchgear, and control systems.
  5. Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
  6. Familiarity with electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards, such as NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) and OSHA regulations.
  7. Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and repair electrical problems efficiently.
  8. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality workmanship.
  9. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  10. Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed, especially during emergencies or scheduled shutdowns.
