Job Description:
Responsibilities
- Incumbent has the authority to enforce corrective action and ensure these job expectations are met and enforced in order to facilitate effective environmental, safety and quality management systems.
- Safety
- Foster culture of Safety and quality amogst the Team memebers.
- Lead and drive 5S and Operational Excellance related intivatives for Process Improvement.
- Ensure that all manditory safety trainings has been imparted to Prodction team in a timely manner.
- Ensure 100 % process safety compliance under applicable statutory requirements /laws.
- Organize/control 5S
- Self-maintenance (TPM )
- Supervise/control waste management
- Vision
- Clarity, focused, ethical and materialize business goals as per company’s policy /guideline
- Expectations
- Timely Set robust process parameters in order to get the good/consistency of product quality.
- Participant the RCA of process by engineering tools and manage/priority of the action plan according to get high efficiency.
- Advise/Coaching to all FIN operators to be able check/Inspection product in order to meet with customers specification
- Monitor/coordinate with relate function in term of impact from the yield ( 1st and 2nd ) of product in order to get highest yield.
- Coordinate with QA/ PRD in case of found quality issue during operation for correction and prevention relate to Finishing
- Participation with QA/ PRD to understand and find the Technical solution for issue repeat prevention
- Execute Plant Trial System (PTS) issue summary professional report with in timeframe, and issue the Process Change (PC)/ MOC to cover the change for improvement. Including safety/ risk assessment to all PTS/PC, root cause analysis and process improvement project.
- Impart training to shop floor team regarding process (Awareness, changes, improvement)
- Understand & Maintain ISO records as per company internal system & ensure system compliance always.report to superior about routine work activities without follow up.
- Accountability
- Process consistency : Analyze , Control and solve the problems of finishing process and make sure the prduct is with in specifiaction and meet the customer expectations.
- Customer support: Work on customer concerns and support as and when business needs arises
- Make process parameter for each process , to make sure the Quality of the product is in specification and customer sastifaction.
- Continuous Improvement: Execute the method , Machinary modification for Improve the process for productivity improvemnet, Efficeiancy, Quality and Cost reduction
- Plant Trials: : Initiate and Implement the plant trails for sample production , new product’s parameters/methods development trials to improve quality of product
- Process Monitering: Formulates and maintains process objectives by coordinating with internal stakeholders to maximise product reliability and customer satisfaction
- Maintains documentation of process gaps investigations and actions implemention in finishing process.
- Act as a point of contact for all external and internal process concerns from customers and accountable to make the best possible changes in the process and validate the changes
- Define the training of new method, principle, or new machine operation and train to opertaors , supervisors, engineer.
- Documentation control as per defined operational / Quality guidelines.
- Analyze shutdown activities, long downtime, identify gaps of learning and implement the OEE improvement plan.
- Extend and collaborate with respective stakeholders for carrying out New Product Development trails at site.
- Lead internal and external audits for finishing process and ensure closer of any findings within defined timelines.
- Mentor and Teacher
- Training the new method, principle, or new machine operation to supervisor and operator after changes
- Motivate & try to retain best talent
- Transition
- Control and manage resource usage in the plant for highest efficiency by using the knowledge, experience and Innovation of engineering etc.
- Own self-development and work with team to achieve business results
- Assist manager and other function’s teams in various aspects of process related decisions and improvements
- Communications
- Effective communication with global technical team for PTS stakeholder, troubleshooting & RCA
- Effectively & Timely communication as and when required
- Administration
- Manage all administrative requirements
- Collaboration: Work closely with Production/ Maintenance/ Quality etc.
- Any process change / deviations approval
Education and Experience
- Education:
- Bachelor Degree in Mechatronics/ Mechanical Engineering with 8-10 years of experience
- Preferably from Polymer Film Industries having control system.
- System Knowledge: MS Office, SAP/ ERP, AutoCAD, MiniTAB
- Professional experience:
- Process Management skills: Data analysis, manufacturing process understanding, presentation skill, problem solving, ability to work as per deadlines etc.
- Exposure to Minitab or equivalent Statistical tools.
- Lean manufacturing, Six sigma tools, FMEA and 7 QC tools.
- Personal Qualities: Assertive, Creative, Passionate, High Energy Drive
- Languages:
- Verbal and written fluency in English required, Gujarati as added advantage
- Know-how:
- Knowledge of ISO 9001/ 14001/ OHSAS management system including internal audits.
- Sound Trouble shooting skills / hands on experience on problem solving tools / approaches like (RCA, WHY WHY Analysis etc.).
- Good Interpersonal Skills / Communication skills
- Results Driven: Strong Planning / Execution Skills, risk management, operational understanding.
