Head, Design & Merchandising

Job Description:

Responsibilities 

Define vision for our brand and its Product
Define Design Strategy 
Working with IT to bring in tech to merchandising
Build our Product Obsession at an org level.

Achieve stock turn objectives as defined by the management

KRAs

1. Develop a merchandising grid - along with requisite resources available in the team.  (Adequate assistance on numbers will be provided)
2. Benchmarking and Best practices - a good understanding of brands that are cutting edge in product functionality, design aesthetics
3. Consumer insights - work with the marketing function to get a sharp understanding of who the customer is, what are their motivations and barriers
4. Develop an annual design plan
5. Identity possibilities in jewellery findings and finishes that could redefine craftsmanship and some that can be points of distinction for Our brand
6. Conceptualise an iconic product for Our brand
7. Define merchandising standards for the stores
8. Provide Input into sales staff recruitment, training, grooming and product presentation
9. Build, lead and inspire a design and merchandising team that will ensure our brand is always ahead of the curve!

We prefer people with experience from the chain stores.  We are open to look at candidates from India or overseas.
