Job Description:
  • Foster a culture of excellence, teamwork, and continuous improvement within the maintenance department.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of engineers, technicians, and support staff.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations, set goals, and provide ongoing feedback to enhance individual and team performance.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive maintenance strategy aligned with the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Implement predictive and preventive maintenance programs to minimize unplanned downtime and optimize equipment performance.
  • Utilize advanced maintenance methodologies such as Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) to enhance overall operational efficiency.
  • Develop and manage the maintenance department budget, ensuring cost-effective allocation of resources.
  • Collaborate with procurement to negotiate contracts, source materials, and secure services required for maintenance activities.
  • Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising on quality or safety standards.
  • Serve as the technical authority on all matters related to maintenance engineering.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to provide input into the design and selection of equipment to enhance maintainability and reliability.
  • Stay abreast of technological advancements and industry best practices to drive continuous improvement.
  • Develop and implement reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) strategies to identify critical equipment and prioritize maintenance efforts.
  • Conduct root cause analysis of equipment failures and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Utilize condition monitoring and predictive maintenance technologies to anticipate and address potential issues.
  • Establish and enforce a robust safety culture within the maintenance department.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations, environmental standards, and industry codes.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks.
  • Collaborate with operations, production, and quality assurance departments to understand their needs and integrate them into the maintenance strategy.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to address complex issues and drive collaborative solutions.
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement, implementing lean methodologies and other efficiency initiatives.
  • Conduct regular reviews of maintenance processes, identifying areas for optimization and implementing best practices.
  • Monitoring Major Project Activities i.e. setting up production lines, installation and commissioning of new equipment in plant premises by coordinating with ETD projects.
  • Strongly emphasizing on autonomous and design-out maintenance and RCM analysis/Completely implementing system- based maintenance, using software available.
