Job Description:

Purpose of the Job: Preparation of end-to-end financial statements including General Ledger, Payroll, Bank Rec.

Key Result Areas (Principal Accountabilities )

  • Handle complete Record to report and financial statements role. 
  • Month End Closing process and Reconciliations
  • Prepare Bank Reconciliations
  • Prepare/post Journals at the end of the month after analysis of prepaid & accruals account etc.
  • Standard, Non-Standard & recurring J/Es (incl. accruals, prepaid, deferrals, leases)
  • P&L & Balance Sheet reviews (e.g. trend analyses), detailed reporting analyses and Audit Support 
  • Prepare monthly closing calendar and discuss the status of activities with Client every day in close
  • Execute internal controls and checks as part of the process
  • Performing task with accuracy and timeline
  • Posting and documenting and tracking approvals 
  • Recording volumes and finalizing as per SLAs
  • US Client handling
  • Supervise and train new team members on the process as per requirement.
  • Based on business requirements, attend and discuss open issues with clients on regular calls for the assigned accounts or tasks (along with manager).
  • Preparation & review of Funder reporting (only in NFP vertical).
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications- advance Excel
  • Good written and verbal communications skills to communicate with external US based clients.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field/CA Inter/MBA.
  • Experience:  4+ years of experience in accounting, finance or FP&A roles.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including formulas and basic functions) and experience with general ledger software.
  • Analytical Abilities: Strong analytical skills with an ability to interpret financial data and detect errors or inconsistencies.
  • Communication Skills: Effective written and verbal communication skills, with experience summarizing financial insights clearly.
  • Software Familiarity: Experience with QuickBooks/NetSuite/Sage will be an added advantage.
  • Ability to Meet Deadlines: Strong time management skills to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
  • Team Player: Capable of working collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Adaptability: Agile in learning new processes and adapting to changes quickly.
  • Attention to Detail: Diligent in ensuring accuracy in all financial entries, reconciliations, and reports.

Working Conditions and Environmental:

  • Working Days: 5 days - Monday to Friday
  • Working Hours: 9 hours (US work Shift Pattern), Hybrid (mix of WFO & WFH).
  • Travel to other company locations or client offices may be necessary, as well as physical presence at company meetings with other offices throughout the globe.
