We are seeking a Supply Associate with a keen understanding of production planning control and order management within the steel industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient coordination between production schedules and customer orders, optimizing inventory levels, and maintaining seamless communication between various Suppliers.
Responsibilities:
- Production and Quality Check at Supplier’s End .
- Collaborate with various suppliers to develop and maintain production schedules based on demand forecasts, capacity constraints, and inventory levels.
- Monitor production processes and identify opportunities for optimization to ensure on-time delivery of orders.
- Coordinate with Sales and logistics teams to ensure timely availability of materials and components for production.
- Order Management:
- Receive and review customer orders, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Communicate with customers regarding order status, delivery schedules, and any potential delays.
- Coordinate with sales, logistics, and warehouse teams to prioritize orders and allocate resources accordingly.
- Regularly visiting to suppliers to efficiently manage the on time and quality deliveries .
- Inventory Management:
- Monitor inventory levels of finished goods and components to prevent stockouts or delay in delivery .
- Conduct regular audits and reconciliations to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Analyze production and order data to identify trends, forecast demand, and identify areas for improvement.
- Prepare regular reports on production performance, order fulfilment metrics, and inventory levels to measure supplier performance and capacity .
- Utilize data-driven insights to propose and implement process and supplier improvements.
- Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Liaise with sales, production, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure alignment of objectives and smooth execution of operations.
- Act as a central point of contact for resolving any issues or discrepancies related to production planning and order management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- Previous experience in production planning, order management, or supply chain coordination within the steel industry preferred.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, capacity planning, and inventory management principles.
- Proficiency in using ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
- Excellent communication skills in Regional Language along with English and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and problem-solving.
- Proactive attitude, ability to work under pressure, and prioritize tasks effectively.
