Job Description:
A storekeeper is responsible for the safekeeping of inventory, including raw materials, supplies, finished products, and purchased items. They also manage store operations, such as:
- Receiving, uploading, and shelving supplies
- Returning, packing, labeling, and pricing goods
- Inspecting deliveries for damage or discrepancy
- Reporting damaged inventories for record-keeping and reimbursement
- Maintaining receipts, records, and withdrawals of the stockroom
- Rotating stock and coordinating the disposal of surpluses
- Coordinating the handling of freight, the movement of equipment, and necessary minor repairs
