Job Description:

Job Description – Legal Liaison Officer As a Legal Liaison Officer - Managing legal affairs and ensuring compliance with regulations.

You will act as a liaison between our company and external legal entities, government agencies, customs authorities.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Legal Compliance: Ensure compliance, regulations, and trade agreements, including customs regulations and trade sanctions.
  2.  Government Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for government agencies, including customs authorities and trade regulatory bodies. Establish and maintain positive relationships with relevant authorities to facilitate smooth operations and resolve legal issues promptly. 
  3. Documentation and Licensing: Manage the documentation and licensing process & other activities. Ensure that all required documents are obtained accurately and submitted on time.
  4.  Risk Management: Identify legal risks and compliance issues. Stay informed about changes in regulations and industry best practices to proactively address compliance challenges.
  5. Contract Management: Review, draft, and negotiate contracts and agreements, including distribution agreements, sales contracts, and international trade agreements. Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external legal counsel to ensure that contracts comply with legal requirements and protect the company's interests.
  6.  Dispute Resolution: Handle legal disputes, including shipping disputes, customs audits, and contractual disputes with overseas partners. Work closely with internal teams and external legal advisors to resolve disputes efficiently and minimize financial and reputational risks.
  7. Training and Education: Provide guidance and training to employees on legal requirements, compliance procedures, and best practices for international trade. Promote a culture of compliance and ethical conduct throughout the organization.
