Deputy Manager - Maintenance
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Management:
- Supervise and lead a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
- Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Maintenance Planning and Execution:
- Develop and implement maintenance strategies to ensure maximum efficiency and reliability of equipment and systems.
- Plan, schedule, and oversee all preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
- Coordinate with production and other departments to minimize downtime and disruptions.
- Budget and Cost Management:
- Prepare and manage the maintenance budget, including labor, materials, and equipment costs.
- Monitor expenses and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality and safety.
- Equipment and Facility Management:
- Ensure all machinery, equipment, and facilities are maintained in compliance with manufacturer specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage spare parts inventory, ensuring critical spares are available and obsolete parts are disposed of properly.
- Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Promote a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement among the maintenance team.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for improving maintenance processes, equipment reliability, and overall plant efficiency.
- Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance maintenance operations.
- Utilize data and metrics to track performance and drive improvements.
- Vendor and Contractor Management:
- Manage relationships with external vendors and contractors, ensuring quality work and adherence to contractual terms.
- Negotiate service agreements and oversee contractor performance.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment status, and inventory levels.
- Prepare and present regular reports on maintenance performance, including key metrics and project updates
Qualifications:
Education: B. Tech Mechanical
Experience: Minimum of 10+ years of experience in maintenance management, preferably in a manufacturing.
Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in maintenance management software (CMMS) and other relevant tools.
- Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, and Civil systems.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
Working Conditions:
- This position may require occasional work outside of regular business hours to address emergencies or critical maintenance activities.
- Ability to work in various environments, including office, production floor, and outdoor settings.
Salary Range
- Between 7,00,000 to 8,50,000/-
