Deputy Manager - Maintenance

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

1. Leadership and Management:

• Supervise and lead a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
• Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement.

2. Maintenance Planning and Execution:

• Develop and implement maintenance strategies to ensure maximum efficiency and reliability of equipment and systems.
• Plan, schedule, and oversee all preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
• Coordinate with production and other departments to minimize downtime and disruptions.

1. Budget and Cost Management:

• Prepare and manage the maintenance budget, including labor, materials, and equipment costs.
• Monitor expenses and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality and safety.

1. Equipment and Facility Management:

• Ensure all machinery, equipment, and facilities are maintained in compliance with manufacturer specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage spare parts inventory, ensuring critical spares are available and obsolete parts are disposed of properly.

1. Compliance and Safety:

• Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
• Promote a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement among the maintenance team.

1. Continuous Improvement:

• Identify opportunities for improving maintenance processes, equipment reliability, and overall plant efficiency.
• Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance maintenance operations.
• Utilize data and metrics to track performance and drive improvements.

1.         Vendor and Contractor Management:

• Manage relationships with external vendors and contractors, ensuring quality work and adherence to contractual terms.
• Negotiate service agreements and oversee contractor performance.

1. Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment status, and inventory levels.
• Prepare and present regular reports on maintenance performance, including key metrics and project updates

Qualifications:

Education: B. Tech Mechanical

Experience: Minimum of 10+ years of experience in maintenance management, preferably in a manufacturing.

Skills:

• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Proficiency in maintenance management software (CMMS) and other relevant tools.
• Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, and Civil systems.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.

Working Conditions:

• This position may require occasional work outside of regular business hours to address emergencies or critical maintenance activities.
• Ability to work in various environments, including office, production floor, and outdoor settings.

Salary Range

• Between 7,00,000 to 8,50,000/-
