JOB TITLE: AUTOMATION TECHNICIAN

EXPERIENCE: Min 3 years of experience

JOB LOCATION: AL LAITH, KSA

 SALARY PACKAGE: 2,300 SAR / MONTH

 

JOB DESCRIPTION

As an automation Technician, the candidate will install, maintain, and replace automation systems throughout the production lines, Responsible for troubleshooting component parts, including motion sensors, control components, photo sensors, and other vital technology. In addition to maintaining smooth operations, will operate as a subject matter expert (SME) for leadership and key decision-makers, delivering reports on current automation capabilities and future opportunities. This is a specialized position, and our ideal applicant has considerable experience and education in engineering, robotics, and production automation.

REQUIREMENTS

Experience:

  • 3 years of experience in a Processing Plant with a large fresh food processing system. 4 to 5 years of experience for Diploma is required.

Education:

  • Engineering or Diploma in Control and Automation / Mechatronics / Electronics /Electrical

Skills:

  • Good leadership skills with technical teams, Mechanical and Electrical/Electronics
  • Knowledge about PLC programming. Rockwell's knowledge is preferable
  • Interpersonal skills, Time management, and Team management
  • Computer knowledge of MS Office, Excel & Network base

Training Required:

  • Experience working in a regulated GMP environment, Minimum 3 years of process design and process improvement experience

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead automation engineering staff assuring compliance, equipment uptime, and development of staff
  • Responsible for maintenance (planned and unplanned) for equipment supporting manufacturing
  • Install, maintain, and replace automation systems at key points in the production process.
  • Work with other departments to improve equipment functionality, throughput, and uptime of equipment
  • Troubleshoot non-functioning components including servos, sensors, and control components
  • Educate Operations personnel on proper operation and care of equipment
  • Log equipment usage, parts replacement, and scheduled maintenance to ensure maximum functionality
  • Periodically report to leadership regarding automation capabilities and status
  • Establishing and maintaining effective communications with production, quality and engineering
  • Oversees all installations of electronic devices throughout the production processes and factory, ensuring conformance to specifications
  • Provides immediate response to equipment malfunctions
  • Provide field support of instrumentation (flow, temperature, pressure), well controls (RTU and PLC), communications network
  • Manage the day-to-day activities, goal setting, performance management, and development of the team;
  • Ability to use PLC's and PC controls, including using PLC for troubleshooting
  • Experience in the application of AC and DC motors and controls
  • Check the operation of machines and trouble-shoots electronic, electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electronic equipment and automation problems according to manufacturer's specifications or best method practices
  • Modify and rebuild manufacturing equipment to meet new machine requirements or production demands
  • Coordinate with Production, Quality Management, and Engineering to resolve any electrical and automation issues.
