Job Description

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Technical Business Analyst to join our team on a contractual basis. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of experience in business analysis within the banking sector and be capable of working in a hybrid model, aligning with the UK time zone. The successful candidate will be responsible for gathering and analyzing requirements, improving banking processes, supporting project management, and ensuring regulatory compliance among other key responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Requirement Gathering and Analysis:
  • Engage with stakeholders to gather detailed business requirements.
  • Analyze and document requirements, ensuring clarity, completeness, and alignment with business goals.

Process Improvement:

  • Assess current banking processes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Propose changes to streamline operations, enhance efficiency, and reduce costs.
  • Design new workflows or modify existing ones to better meet business needs.

Project Management Support:

  • Assist in defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Create project plans, timelines, and milestones.
  • Track project progress, ensuring adherence to deadlines and budgets.

Solution Design and Validation:

  • Collaborate with IT teams to design solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Ensure proposed solutions are feasible and align with the bank's overall strategy.
  • Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate the functionality and performance of solutions.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting:

 

  • Analyze banking data to derive insights that inform business decisions.
  • Create detailed reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate findings to stakeholders.
  • Use data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for the bank.

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Ensure that proposed solutions and processes comply with relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Stay updated with changes in banking regulations and assess their impact on business operations.

Stakeholder Communication and Management:

  • Act as a liaison between business units and IT teams, facilitating effective communication.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure their needs are met throughout the project lifecycle.

Training and Support:

  • Develop training materials and conduct training sessions for end-users on new systems and processes.
  • Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting assistance post-implementation.

Risk Management:

  • Identify potential risks associated with proposed solutions and processes.
  • Develop mitigation strategies to address these risks and ensure project success.

Technology Assessment and Implementation:

  • Evaluate new technologies and tools that can benefit the bank's operations.
  • Participate in the selection and implementation of new software and systems.

Change Management:

  • Facilitate the adoption of new processes and systems within the bank.
  • Develop change management plans to ensure a smooth transition and minimize disruptions.

Customer Experience Enhancement:

  • Work on initiatives aimed at improving the customer experience, such as digital banking solutions, mobile apps, and personalized services.
  • Gather customer feedback and use it to inform business decisions and improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5-10 years of experience as a Business Analyst in the banking sector.
  • Strong understanding of banking processes and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and project management software.
  • Experience in working with cross-functional teams and managing stakeholder expectations.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid model and align with UK time zone.
