Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate the work of plant operators, technicians, and maintenance staff to ensure smooth and efficient plant operations.
• Plan and prioritize daily tasks, assigning responsibilities to team members based on skill levels and workload.
• Monitor plant performance indicators and implement corrective actions as needed to optimize production efficiency and quality standards.
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities to identify maintenance needs and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Train and mentor new employees, providing guidance on plant procedures, safety protocols, and best practices.
• Collaborate with management and engineering staff to develop and implement process improvements and cost-saving initiatives.
• Maintain accurate records of production output, equipment maintenance, and inventory levels.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Foreman or similar supervisory role in an industrial setting, preferably in a sponge iron plant or similar heavy industry.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire team members to achieve production targets and quality standards.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Thorough knowledge of plant operations, equipment, and safety regulations.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as required.
