Tool Room Engineer at Vasai East in Mumbai

Job Description:

Qualification: ITI Fitter, Machinist, Turner or Diploma in Mechanical, Tool & Die maker
Experience: 2 to 5 yrs
Work location: Vasai East in Mumbai (Pelhar plant)

Job profile:
Plan and arrange raw material procurement for new tools, jigs, and fixtures.
Assign machining tasks and projects based on machinists’ skill levels and production requirements.
Generate tooling reports against design before handing over tools to the department.
Conduct tool trials as per specified procedures and safety protocols.
Provide training to tool operators on proper use of new tools.
Perform breakdown tool maintenance.
Perform routine inspection and cleaning of tools, jigs, and fixtures to ensure proper functioning.
Monitor tool wear and replace damaged or worn-out components on time.
Support the implementation of Kaizen ideas in tool-making operations.
Prepare and execute preventive maintenance, including monitoring MTBF and MTTR.
Ensure availability of spare parts, consumables, and maintenance tools.

Skills and Key Requirements:
Skilled in using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
Expertise in operating machines, lathes, mills, and grinders.
Ability to conduct inspections and maintain quality standards.
Need to Prepared Preventive maintenance Plan & Conduct.
