Job Description:
A Sales Head for industrial products is responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, leading a sales team, and driving revenue growth by managing key client relationships and identifying new business opportunitiesThis role requires expertise in the industrial sector, strong leadership, negotiation skills, and a proven track record of exceeding sales targets. Key duties include market analysis, creating sales forecasts, and collaborating with other departments to ensure customer satisfaction and successful product delivery. 
 
Key responsibilities
  • Sales strategy: 
    Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue goals and increase market share within the industrial sector. 
     
  • Team leadership: 
    Lead, coach, and manage the sales team to achieve individual and collective targets. 
     
  • Client management: 
    Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, including OEMs, government departments, and electrical contractors, and manage strategic accounts. 
     
  • Business development: 
    Identify and secure new business opportunities through market research, networking, and by identifying prospective client businesses. 
     
  • Sales activities: 
    Oversee product demonstrations, presentations, and technical discussions with clients. 
     
  • Market analysis: 
    Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to inform sales strategies. 
     
  • Reporting: 
    Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and performance analysis for senior management. 
     
  • Contract negotiation: 
    Lead the negotiation of contracts and close sales deals. 
     
  • Cross-functional collaboration: 
    Work with internal teams such as marketing, technical pre-sales, and service to ensure seamless delivery and customer satisfaction. 
     
Qualifications and skills
  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field. 
     
  • Experience: Proven and successful sales experience in the industrial sector, often with several years of experience depending on the seniority of the role. 
     
  • Leadership: Strong leadership, team management, and coaching skills. 
     
  • Sales expertise: A proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets. 
     
  • Technical knowledge: A strong understanding of industrial products and services. 
     
  • Soft skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and problem-solving skills. 
     
  • Technical skills: Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools. 
     
  • Other: Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
