Operator - Furnace
Job Description:
A Furnace Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of furnaces, kilns, or other thermal processing equipment. Key responsibilities include:
1. Monitoring temperature, pressure, and fuel levels to ensure optimal performance.
2. Adjusting controls to maintain desired temperatures and atmospheres.
3. Conducting regular inspections to identify potential issues or maintenance needs.
4. Performing routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and lubricating equipment.
5. Troubleshooting and resolving equipment malfunctions or process issues.
6. Collaborating with other teams, like production or maintenance, to optimize furnace performance.
7. Adhering to safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries.
8. Keeping accurate records of furnace operations, maintenance, and repairs.
9. Implementing energy-saving measures and optimizing fuel efficiency.
10. Participating in training and professional development to stay updated on new technologies and techniques.
