Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Programming: Develop and optimize CNC/VMC programs using CAD/CAM software (such as Mastercam, AutoCAD, etc.) for aluminum die-casting components.
- Machine Setup: Set up CNC/VMC machines, including tooling, fixturing, and workpiece alignment to ensure optimal machining conditions.
- Operation: Operate CNC/VMC machines, monitor machining processes, and make adjustments as needed to ensure product quality and efficiency.
- Quality Control: Inspect and measure machined parts using precision instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers, CMM) to ensure they meet specified tolerances and quality standards.
- Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on CNC/VMC machines, including cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs to ensure continuous operation.
- Process Improvement: Analyze machining processes and suggest improvements to reduce cycle times, improve quality, and increase overall efficiency.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of machine setups, programs, and production runs for future reference and quality control.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the engineering and production teams to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery of parts.
- Safety: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Technical Expertise: Proficient in CNC/VMC programming and operation, with a focus on aluminum die-casting processes.
- Software Proficiency: Experience with CAD/CAM software such as Mastercam, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot machining issues and implement effective solutions.
- Attention to Detail: High level of precision and attention to detail to ensure quality and accuracy in machined parts.
- Mechanical Aptitude: Solid understanding of machining processes, cutting tools, and materials specific to aluminum.
- Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Experience: Previous experience in the aluminum die-casting industry is preferred.
