Description: We are seeking a highly skilled DBA Developer to join our team for an enterprise-grade software development project. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Microsoft SQL Server, expertise in database design, development, and management, and experience rations with various APIs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Database Design & Development:
• Design and develop database schemas, tables, and relationships to meet project requirements.
• Create and manage ERDs (Entity-Relationship Diagrams) to visually represent database structures.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions to ensure efficient data retrieval and manipulation.
• API Integration:
• Design and implement APIs to enable interaction between our databases and external systems or services.
• Develop and maintain API endpoints to facilitate seamless data exchange between databases and applications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to API integrations and data synchronization.
• Database and Data Security:
• Implement and manage database security measures, including user access controls, authentication, and encryption.
• Develop and enforce data security policies to protect sensitive information and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
• Monitor and respond to security threats and vulnerabilities, ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of database systems.
• Database Management & Optimization:
• Monitor and tune database performance to ensure high availability and optimal performance.
• Conduct regular database backups, restorations, and disaster recovery planning.
• Implement and manage data encryption and masking techniques as needed.
• Collaboration & Documentation:
• Work closely with software developers, system architects, and project managers to understand requirements and provide database solutions and API integration.
• Document database designs, API specifications, data security measures, and processes for reference and compliance.
• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on database, API, and security-related issues.
• Troubleshooting & Support:
• Troubleshoot and resolve database, API, and security-related issues in a timely manner.
• Provide support for database and API-related queries and issues reported by users or other team members.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Technical Expertise:
• Proven experience with Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL.
• Strong knowledge of database design principles, including normalization and denormalization.
• Expertise in creating and managing tables, indexes, relationships, and ERDs.
• Proficiency in writing and optimizing SQL queries and stored procedures.
• Experience with API development and integration, including RESTful and/or SOAP APIs.
• Deep understanding of database security practices, including access controls, encryption, and data masking.
• Experience:
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a DBA Developer or similar role, with a focus on enterprise-grade software projects.
• Experience with database performance tuning and optimization.
• Hands-on experience in integrating APIs with databases.
• Proven experience implementing and managing database and data security measures.
• Soft Skills:
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced certifications or degrees are a plus.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with additional database systems or tools (e.g., MySQL, Oracle) is a plus.
• Familiarity with cloud-based database solutions (e.g., Azure SQL Database, AWS RDS) and cloud-based API management tools is advantageous.
• Knowledge of data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and compliance standards.
