Job Title: Spanish Teacher (IB DP/ MYP)
Location: Pune
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and qualified Spanish teacher to join our IB World School team. The successful candidate will teach Spanish Language and Literature in the IB Diploma Programme (DP) and/or Middle Years Programme (MYP). The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of IB pedagogy and assessment, as well as experience teaching Spanish to students of various ages and proficiency levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Spanish Language and Literature in the IB DP and/or MYP
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans and curricula aligned with IB standards
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
- Participate in IB-related training and professional development
- Collaborate with colleagues to integrate language learning across subjects
- Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Spanish, Education, or related field
- Teaching certification or equivalent experience
- Fluency in Spanish and English
- Experience teaching Spanish as a foreign language
- Familiarity with IB DP and/or MYP curriculum and assessment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in Spanish, Education, or related field
- Experience teaching in an IB World School
- Familiarity with language learning software and technology
- Experience teaching in a multicultural environment
Desireables:
Understanding of IB pedagogy and assessment
- Experience with IB internal assessments and external exams
- Familiarity with IB curriculum and standards
