Job Title: Website & Social Media Manager

Department: Communications and Marketing

Reports To: Head of Communications

Location: Pune

Job Summary:

The Website & Social Media Manager will be responsible for managing and enhancing the school’s online presence. This includes maintaining the school’s website, developing and executing social media strategies, and ensuring that all digital content aligns with the school’s brand and mission. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in digital marketing, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of social media trends and website management.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Website Management:
    • Oversee the day-to-day management and maintenance of the school’s website.
    • Ensure website content is current, accurate, and engaging.
    • Optimize website performance, including SEO and user experience.
    • Collaborate with the IT department to address any technical issues.
  2. Social Media Strategy:
    • Develop and implement comprehensive social media strategies to enhance the school’s online presence.
    • Create, curate, and manage content for all social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn).
    • Monitor social media trends and adjust strategies as needed to stay current and effective.
    • Engage with the school community through social media, responding to comments and messages in a timely manner.
  3. Content Creation:
    • Develop compelling and relevant content that promotes the school’s programs, events, and achievements.
    • Work with the communications team to produce multimedia content, including videos, graphics, and blog posts.
    • Ensure all content is consistent with the school’s brand voice and messaging.
  4. Analytics and Reporting:
    • Monitor and analyze website and social media performance using analytics tools.
    • Provide regular reports on key metrics, including traffic, engagement, and conversion rates.
    • Use data insights to inform and refine digital strategies.
  5. Collaboration and Support:
    • Work closely with various departments to gather information and create content that supports their goals.
    • Provide training and support to staff on best practices for website and social media use.
    • Stay informed about developments in digital marketing and education technology.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in website management and social media marketing.
  • Strong understanding of SEO, web analytics, and social media platforms.
  • Proficiency in content management systems (CMS) and social media management tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Creative and strategic thinker with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of attention to detail and organizational skills.
