Job Description: Credit Manager – Home Loans & Loan Against Property

Position: Credit Officer 

Products: any Banking Fiance Product 

Location: Bhavnagar, Jamnagar , Anand 

Salary: Up to 3.5 LPA

Experience Required: Minimum 3 years in the Credit Department

Education: Graduation is a must


Key Responsibilities:

  • Credit Assessment: Analyze and evaluate the creditworthiness of potential borrowers for Home Loans and Loan Against Property. Conduct detailed analysis of financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant documents.
  • Loan Underwriting: Approve or reject loan applications based on credit guidelines and policies. Ensure that loans comply with company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks associated with loan applications and recommend appropriate risk mitigation strategies. Monitor loan performance to minimize default rates and ensure portfolio quality.
  • Documentation and Compliance: Ensure all credit and loan documentation is complete, accurate, and complies with legal and regulatory requirements. Maintain up-to-date records of all credit applications and approvals.
  • Coordination: Work closely with sales, operations, and legal teams to facilitate smooth processing of loan applications and approvals. Liaise with external agencies for verification and compliance checks.
  • Customer Interaction: Engage with customers to understand their financial needs, clarify queries related to credit assessments, and provide necessary information about loan products and processes.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on credit assessments, approvals, and portfolio performance to senior management. Analyze trends and recommend improvements to credit policies and procedures.
  • Training and Development: Provide guidance and training to junior credit analysts and team members on credit assessment techniques, company policies, and industry best practices.

  • Credit Analysis: Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess the creditworthiness of borrowers effectively.
  • Attention to Detail: High attention to detail to ensure accuracy in credit assessments and compliance with policies.
  • Risk Management: Ability to identify and manage risks associated with loan applications.
  • Decision-Making: Sound judgment and decision-making skills to approve or reject loan applications.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers, internal teams, and external agencies.
  • Knowledge of Regulations: Good understanding of financial regulations and legal requirements related to secured loans.
  • Team Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with sales, operations, and legal teams to achieve business goals.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Education: Graduation in any discipline is a must.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 years of experience in the Credit Department, preferably in the NBFC or Banking sector, with a focus on Home Loans and Loan Against Property.
