Job Description:

Responsibilities and Duties:

 Operating System Installation:
 Install, configure, and upgrade operating systems (Windows, Linux) on servers and
workstations.
 Ensure that all OS installations are up-to-date and properly patched.
 Network IP Configuration:
 Configure and manage network IP addresses, subnets, and routing to ensure seamless
network connectivity.
 Troubleshoot network connectivity issues and optimize network performance.
 Windows Active Directory:
 Administer and maintain Windows Active Directory environments, including user
accounts, groups, and permissions.
 Implement and manage Group Policies to enforce security and operational policies.
 Virtual Machine Management (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.):
 Deploy, configure, and manage virtual machines using platforms such as VMware,
Hyper-V, or Elexi.
 Monitor VM performance and manage resource allocation to ensure optimal operation.

 Rack and Switch Management:
 Install and configure network switches and other rack-mounted equipment.
 Ensure proper cable management and maintain documentation of rack layouts and
configurations.
 Documentation and Reporting:
 Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, network diagrams, and
hardware inventories.
 Prepare reports on system performance, incidents, and changes as required.
 Support and Troubleshooting:
 Provide technical support to end-users and IT staff, resolving issues related to hardware,
software, and network components.
 Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence of
issues.
System Management & Inventory:
 Install, configure, and maintain physical hardware components, including servers,
workstations, and peripherals.
 Perform hardware diagnostics and troubleshoot hardware issues to ensure system
reliability.

Requirements and skills
 Degree/ Diploma in Network engineering.
 Additional certification in relevant field is an added advantage.
 Good understanding of Fire walls, Anti-Virus software, VPN systems etc.
 Capacity to learn new things
 Strong ability to coordinate with Vendors
