Sales Engineer

Job Summary:
The Sales Executive will be responsible for identifying potential clients, promoting our water and wastewater treatment solutions (STP, ETP, RO plants), and driving sales growth. This role requires a proactive approach to lead generation, excellent communication skills, and a technical understanding of the industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Prospecting: Identify and approach potential clients across industries that require water and wastewater treatment solutions, including manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, and food processing.
- Sales Outreach: Conducted cold calls, scheduled meetings, and visited clients to understand their requirements and present suitable solutions.
- Product Demonstration: Effectively communicate the technical aspects and benefits of the company’s products and services.
- Proposal Creation: Collaborate with the technical team to prepare competitive sales proposals and quotations tailored to client needs.
- Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients by providing excellent after-sales support.
- Sales Target Achievement: Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets by closing new deals and managing a growing pipeline.
- Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends, client needs, and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities.
- Reporting: Maintain accurate sales records, activity reports, and sales forecasts in the CRM system.
Required Skills & Attributes:
- Sales Skills: Strong persuasion, negotiation, and closing skills with a proven ability to meet sales targets.
- Technical Aptitude: Basic understanding of water and wastewater treatment processes (STP, ETP, RO plants) or a willingness to learn technical details.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly to clients.
- Relationship Management: Ability to build and maintain lasting relationships with clients and handle client objections professionally.
- Self-motivated: Proactive and results-driven approach with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the technical team to align sales efforts with client needs and project execution.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Business, or a related field (preferred).
- Three years of sales experience, preferably in the water, wastewater, or environmental solutions industry, is preferred; however, this is not a restriction if the candidate is from the same industry. A minimum of one year of experience is also fine.
- Similar companies – Thermax, Iron exchange, Wipro water solution, Pure water system.
- Willingness to travel locally/regionally to meet clients and attend industry events.
Compensation:
Salary as per market standards + petrol allowance/ travel allowance + incentives (approx. 8k – 10k per month depending on the business generated) + WC policy
Interview mode:
The first round can be Virtual & next round will be a Personal interview in Vapi, candidate can be provided reimbursement of normal traveling fare.( Train Travelling )
