Job Description:
Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented Junior Accountant with foundational knowledge in GST, TDS, and Balance Sheet preparation. The role will support the accounting team with day-to-day financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with tax and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of accounting principles and be eager to learn and grow within the finance department.
Key Responsibilities

General Accounting:
- Manage daily accounting entries and transactions, ensuring accuracy in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
- Assist in maintaining financial records in accordance with organizational standards.

GST Compliance:
- Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual GST returns as per statutory requirements.
- Ensure timely reconciliation of GST input and output, addressing discrepancies as needed.
- Stay updated on GST rules and regulations and ensure compliance.

TDS Management:
- Calculate and deduct TDS on applicable transactions.
- File TDS returns accurately and within the deadline.
- Reconcile TDS payable and issue Form 16/16A to vendors and employees as required.

Balance Sheet Preparation:
- Assist in preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports.
- Support the senior accountant in maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial statements.
- Ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately to facilitate month-end and year-end closing.

Bank Reconciliation:
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure cashbook and bank statements align.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.

Support Audit Process:
- Assist in preparing and organizing documentation for internal and external audits.
- Support the senior accountant and finance manager in audit queries related to GST, TDS, and other financial matters.

Other Duties:
- Provide general support to the finance department as needed.
- Assist in the implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 1-2 years of relevant experience in accounting, with practical knowledge of GST, TDS, and Balance Sheet preparation.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks) and MS Office, especially Excel.
- Basic understanding of Indian accounting standards and tax laws.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and organizational abilities.
- Good communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
