Reports To: Sales Manager / General Manager
Job Summary:
We are seeking a results-driven Sales Engineer with strong technical expertise and sales skills to join our team. The ideal candidate will have an engineering background (Bachelor’s or Diploma) and a proven ability to generate leads, identify customer needs, and close sales. This role requires a combination of technical knowledge, communication skills, and business acumen to drive sales growth in the industrial sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Development:
 • Identify and develop new business opportunities in the mechanical, electrical, and chemical sectors.
 • Generate leads through market research, cold calling, networking, and referrals.
 • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, engineers, procurement teams, and decision-makers.
 • Prepare and deliver technical presentations and proposals to customers.
 • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms of sales agreements.
 • Achieve and exceed sales targets and revenue goals.
Technical Consultation & Support:
 • Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable industrial products.
 • Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support.
 • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer needs are met.
 • Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and competitor activities.
Sales Process Management:
 • Follow up on inquiries, quotations, and order confirmations.
 • Coordinate with the back-office and logistics team to ensure timely delivery.
 • Maintain and update customer records and sales reports in the CRM system.
 • Provide regular sales forecasts and market insights to management.
Qualifications & Skills Required:
 • Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical preferred).
 • Experience: 3+ years in technical sales, business development, or a similar role in the industrial sector.
 • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of industrial products and their applications.
 • Sales Skills: Excellent prospecting, negotiation, and closing skills.
 • Communication: Strong verbal and written skills in English. Ability to present and influence effectively.
 • Software Proficiency: Experience with ERP/CRM systems and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
 • Problem-Solving: Ability to identify customer challenges and provide tailored solutions.
 • Self-Motivation: Goal-oriented with a proactive approach to sales.
Preferred Qualifications:
 • Existing network of clients in the industrial sector.
 • Experience in handling industrial tenders and large-scale projects.
 • Familiarity with international trade and supplier management.
