Job Description:
Job Title: General Manager (GM) / Vice President (VP) - Head of SMS
 
 
 
To oversee and direct the overall strategy, operations, and performance of the hospitality division, focusing on Service, Marketing, and Sales (SMS). Ensure exceptional guest experiences, drive revenue growth, and maintain high standards of quality, while leading and developing a high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
  • Develop and implement the hospitality division's strategic plan, aligning with company goals.
  • Foster a culture of excellence, innovation, and customer-centricity.
  • Conduct market research, analyze trends, and identify opportunities for growth.
Service Excellence:
  • Ensure exceptional guest experiences through effective service standards and training.
  • Oversee front-of-house operations, including front desk, concierge, and F&B services.
  • Implement quality control measures to maintain high standards.
Marketing and Sales:
  • Develop and execute marketing strategies to drive revenue and occupancy.
  • Lead sales teams to achieve revenue targets and expand market share.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders.
Operations and Financial Management:
  • Oversee hospitality operations, including rooms, F&B, and amenities.
  • Manage budgets, forecast revenue, and control expenses.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
Talent Development and Leadership:
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, including department heads.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
Communication and Collaboration:
  • Liaise with other departments (e.g., revenue management, IT) to ensure alignment.
  • Communicate effectively with owners, stakeholders, and external partners.
  • Participate in industry events and conferences.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
  • Guest satisfaction and loyalty metrics (e.g., Net Promoter Score).
  • Revenue growth and market share.
  • Occupancy rates and RevPAR.
  • Employee engagement and retention.
  • Quality and standards compliance.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business, or related field.
  • 10+ years of hospitality experience, with 5+ years in senior leadership roles.
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth and improving guest satisfaction.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with hospitality software and systems (e.g., PMS, CRS).
  • Certification in hospitality management (e.g., CHA, CHT).
Desirable Skills:
  • MBA or Master's degree in related field.
  • International hospitality experience.
  • Knowledge of revenue management and yield strategies.
  • Experience with hotel management software (e.g., Opera, Marriott).
  • Certification in sales and marketing (e.g., CSP, CSM).
