DGM - Marketing
Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Deputy General Manager (DGM) - Marketing to lead and drive marketing strategies for our construction chemicals division. The role will involve developing marketing plans, managing brand positioning, overseeing promotional activities, and driving market share growth in the construction chemicals sector. The DGM will also play a critical role in building relationships with customers, dealers, distributors, and contractors, with a focus on expanding the company's presence in the construction industry.
Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Marketing Planning:
- Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies for the construction chemicals product line to enhance brand visibility and drive business growth.
- Analyze market trends, competitor strategies, and customer needs to identify new business opportunities and market segments.
- Create and implement short-term and long-term marketing goals and KPIs.

Product Portfolio Management:
- Oversee the management and development of the product portfolio, ensuring alignment with market demand and technological advancements in construction chemicals.
- Collaborate with R&D and product development teams to launch new products and improve existing ones.

Market Analysis and Research:
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and potential areas for product innovation.
- Monitor and assess the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and adjust strategies as necessary to achieve goals.

Brand Management:
- Lead the company’s brand positioning efforts and ensure consistent messaging across all marketing channels (online, offline, trade shows, etc.).
- Oversee the creation of marketing content including brochures, technical data sheets, website content, and promotional materials.

Sales Support & Channel Management:
- Support the sales team by providing necessary marketing collateral, sales training, and market insights to help close deals and increase customer engagement.
- Develop relationships with key distributors, contractors, and dealers to strengthen the supply chain and expand the market footprint.

Digital Marketing & Social Media:
- Drive digital marketing initiatives, including SEO, SEM, social media marketing, email campaigns, and website management.
- Optimize online presence to generate leads and enhance customer engagement in the digital space.

Budget Management:
- Prepare and manage the marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources for maximum ROI.
- Monitor marketing spend and track performance against set budgets.

Team Leadership & Collaboration:
- Lead and mentor the marketing team, providing guidance on best practices, goal setting, and career development.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (Sales, R&D, Production, etc.) to ensure marketing strategies align with business objectives.
Skills & Qualifications:

Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- MBA in Marketing or equivalent is preferred.

Experience:
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in marketing, with at least 5 years in a managerial role within the construction chemicals or related industry.
- Strong understanding of the construction chemicals market, including key players, product categories, and customer needs.
- Proven track record of successfully managing marketing campaigns, brand building, and business growth.

Technical Skills:
- Expertise in digital marketing, social media platforms, and content marketing.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and marketing analytics tools.
- Knowledge of SEO, SEM, and CRM tools is a plus.

Working Conditions:
- Full-time, based in Surat, Gujarat.
- Travel within Gujarat and other regions as required for client meetings, events, and marketing campaigns.
