Job Title: Pump House/Thickener Operator (CWD)

Job Summary:
The Pump House/Thickener Operator (CWD) is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of pumps, valves, and thickening equipment in a water/wastewater treatment plant. This role requires monitoring and controlling processes, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Pump House Operations:

Monitor and control pumps, valves, and piping systems to ensure efficient water/wastewater flow.

Operate and maintain pumps, motors, and associated equipment.

Perform routine inspections and maintenance tasks (e.g., lubrication, alignment).

Troubleshoot pump house equipment issues and report to supervisors.
Thickener Operations:
-
Monitor and control thickening processes to achieve optimal sludge density.

Operate and maintain thickening equipment (e.g., gravity thickeners, centrifuges).

Monitor sludge levels, consistency, and quality.

Adjust chemical dosing and other parameters to optimize thickening performance.
General Responsibilities:

Monitor treatment plant processes and report abnormalities to supervisors.

Collect and record data on plant operations (e.g., flow rates, pressure).

Perform routine laboratory tests (e.g., pH, turbidity).

Maintain accurate records and logs.

Participate in plant maintenance and repair activities.

Ensure compliance with safety protocols, regulations, and standard operating procedures.

Collaborate with other operators and maintenance personnel.
