Job Title: Dosing System Operator (CWD)
Department: Water Treatment/Wastewater Treatment
Job Summary:
The Dosing System Operator (CWD) is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of chemical dosing systems in a water/wastewater treatment plant. This role requires monitoring and controlling chemical dosing processes, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Dosing System Operations:

Monitor and control chemical dosing systems to ensure accurate and consistent dosing.

Operate and maintain dosing pumps, meters, and associated equipment.

Adjust dosing rates and chemical concentrations as required.

Troubleshoot dosing system issues and report to supervisors.
Chemical Management:

Monitor chemical inventory levels and report low levels to supervisors.

Handle and store chemicals safely and according to regulations.

Perform routine chemical quality control checks.
Water/Wastewater Treatment Process:

Monitor treatment plant processes and report abnormalities to supervisors.

Collect and record data on plant operations (e.g., pH, turbidity).

Perform routine laboratory tests (e.g., water quality parameters).
Maintenance and Repair:

Perform routine maintenance tasks (e.g., cleaning, lubrication).

Assist maintenance personnel with repairs and equipment installation.

Report equipment malfunctions and suggest improvements.
Safety and Compliance:

Ensure compliance with safety protocols, regulations, and standard operating procedures.

Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.

Participate in safety training and drills.
Record Keeping and Communication:

Maintain accurate records and logs.

Communicate effectively with operators, maintenance personnel, and supervisors.

Provide reports and data as required.
