Job Title: Belt Press & Centrifuge Operator (CWD)
Job Summary:
The Belt Press & Centrifuge Operator (CWD) is responsible for the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of belt presses and centrifuges used in sludge handling and wastewater treatment processes. The operator ensures optimal performance, reliability, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational:

Monitor and control belt press and centrifuge operations, adjusting parameters as needed.

Inspect equipment regularly to identify potential issues and perform routine maintenance tasks.

Operate and maintain associated equipment, such as pumps, valves, and conveyors.

Monitor sludge quality, consistency, and volume.
-
Adjust chemical dosing and polymer injection as required.
Maintenance:

Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as belt replacements, cleaning, and lubrication.

Troubleshoot equipment issues and report to maintenance personnel.

Assist maintenance personnel with repairs and overhauls.
Quality Control and Compliance:

Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, permits, and standards.

Monitor and record process parameters, such as pressure, flow rates, and solids content.

Collect and analyze samples for quality control purposes.

Implement corrective actions to maintain optimal process performance.
Safety and Security:

Adhere to safety protocols and procedures.

Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.

Report incidents, near misses, or hazards to supervisors.
Administrative:

Maintain accurate records of operations, maintenance, and quality control.
