Job Description:
Job Title: Manager/Sr. Manager - Process/Operation (Power Plant)
 
 
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Manager/Sr. Manager - Process/Operation to oversee the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of our power plant. The successful candidate will lead the operations team, optimize plant performance, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations Management:
  • Oversee daily power plant operations, including startup, shutdown, and load management.
  • Ensure safe and efficient operation of plant equipment, including boilers, turbines, generators, and auxiliary systems.
  • Develop and implement operating procedures, standards, and guidelines.
  • Lead and manage the operations team, providing guidance, training, and development opportunities.
Process Optimization:
  • Analyze plant performance data to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and implement process optimization initiatives to increase efficiency, reduce emissions, and improve reliability.
  • Collaborate with other departments (e.g., maintenance, engineering) to implement process improvements.
  • Monitor and report key performance indicators (KPIs), including heat rate, capacity factor, and availability.
Safety and Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies.
  • Develop and implement safety procedures, training programs, and emergency response plans.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections.
  • Investigate incidents and near-misses, implementing corrective actions.
Team Management:
  • Lead and manage a team of operations personnel, including supervisors, operators, and technicians.
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance team skills and knowledge.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and coach team members.
Strategic Planning:
  • Develop and implement short-term and long-term operational strategies.
  • Collaborate with other departments to develop and implement business plans.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction, efficiency improvement, and revenue growth.
