Corporate Legal Manager - Wholesale Banking - Mumbai

Job Description:

Role- The incumbent will be part of the legal team servicing the Wholesale Banking Business of Kotak Mahindra Bank Limited. The following are the tenets of the role:

1. Well versed with provisions of the Contract Act, Transfer of Property Act, RBI Act, Companies Act, FEMA, and other commercial laws.

2. Providing day to day legal support by responding to queries on various client related matters and work in close coordination with clients both internal and external (if required)

3. Having good drafting, communication and research skills (with familiarity to loan and security creation documents as well as various types of board and shareholder authorisation requirements is an added bonus).

4. Candidates with previous work experience in financial institutions or top law firms would be preferred.

5. Negotiating with law firms representing the client and the external clients legal teams on loan documentation and appointment of external counsels.

6. Has to be a self-starter and willing to work and learn from a larger team set-up.”
