Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Visa Advisor to join our team, supporting our international students and staff with their visa and immigration needs. The ideal candidate will have experience in the UK higher education sector and a strong understanding of UK immigration regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert guidance on UK visa and immigration matters to both internal colleagues and external applicants.

• Issue certificates of sponsorship and maintain sponsor duties to ensure compliance with UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) regulations.

• Serve as the first point of contact for all immigration-related inquiries, offering comprehensive advice and support.

• Collaborate with the Home Office and various university departments to ensure compliance with UK immigration regulations.

• Assist with visa filing processes, ensuring accuracy and timely submission of all required documents.

• Monitor and evaluate visa student files, conducting regular audits to ensure compliance with UKVI requirements.

• Develop and update immigration-related information for prospective international students.

• Maintain accurate records of all visa-related activities and report changes in student circumstances to the Visa Compliance Manager.

• Provide training and support to colleagues on changes to UKVI policy and procedure.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Law, International Relations, or a related field (preferred).

• 2-5 years of experience in visa filing and immigration advisory roles, preferably within the higher education sector.

• Strong understanding of the UK Points-Based System and UK immigration laws.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.

• Proactive approach to identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing solutions.

• Organized and resilient professional, capable of managing multiple priorities under pressure.
