The General Sales Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the sales department, finance, and customer service. They will be responsible for setting and achieving sales goals, developing and implementing sales strategies, and leading and motivating a team of sales professionals. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the industry, excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, and a proven track record of success in driving sales growth.
Responsibilities:
- Sales Strategy Development:
- Design, implement, and refine a comprehensive sales strategy to meet organizational goals and drive revenue growth.
- Analyze market trends and customer needs to identify new business opportunities.
- Forecast annual, quarterly, and monthly sales targets and ensure alignment with the company's financial objectives.
- Sales Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to achieve performance goals, drive sales activities, and foster a high-performance sales culture.
- Oversee the recruitment, training, and development of sales personnel to ensure a highly skilled, efficient, and effective team.
- Set individual performance targets and ensure regular feedback and performance appraisals for the sales team.

Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and partners.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction, addressing concerns, and identifying areas for service improvements.
- Negotiate and close high-value deals with strategic accounts.
- Sales Operations Management:
- Optimize sales processes to increase efficiency and productivity.
- Ensure the use of appropriate CRM tools, data analytics, and sales forecasting systems to monitor and evaluate sales performance.
- Collaborate with marketing, finance, and operations teams to align sales efforts with company objectives and resource availability.
- Revenue and Profitability Growth:
- Drive both top-line revenue and bottom-line profitability by managing the sales pipeline and continuously improving conversion rates.
- Identify cost-effective sales channels, pricing strategies, and promotional offers that maximize profitability.
- Reporting and Analytics:
- Provide regular updates to the executive team on sales performance, challenges, and achievements.
- Analyze sales data, performance trends, and customer feedback to refine sales strategies and improve results.
- Prepare and present detailed sales reports, forecasts, and market analysis to senior management.
- Market and Competitor Analysis:
- Conduct thorough market research to stay ahead of industry trends, customer preferences, and competitive landscapes.
- Adapt sales strategies based on market dynamics and competitor activities.
Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field (preferred)
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in B2B /Industrial sales management
- Proven track record of exceeding sales goals
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
