Job Description:
Job Summary
The Area Head - Wealth is responsible for leading and managing the wealth management team across the designated area. This role ensures the achievement of revenue targets, client acquisition, and portfolio growth while maintaining high standards of client satisfaction and adherence to compliance and regulatory guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and implement the area's wealth management strategy in alignment with organizational goals.
- Monitor market trends and identify new opportunities to drive revenue growth and client acquisition.
Team Management
- Recruit, train, and mentor Wealth Managers and Relationship Managers.
- Set clear performance expectations and regularly evaluate team performance.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and high ethical standards.
Client Acquisition and Retention
- Oversee the acquisition of High Net Worth Individuals (HNWIs) and Ultra-High Net Worth Individuals (UHNWIs).
- Ensure high levels of client satisfaction by delivering tailored financial solutions and superior service.
- Build and maintain relationships with key clients and stakeholders in the area.
Portfolio Management
- Guide the team to provide comprehensive wealth solutions, including investment advisory, financial planning, and estate planning.
- Monitor the performance of client portfolios to ensure alignment with financial goals and risk tolerance.
Compliance and Risk Management
- Ensure strict adherence to regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Implement and monitor risk management practices within the team.
Performance Management
- Drive revenue and profitability for the area by meeting or exceeding targets.
- Provide regular reports and insights to the Regional Head on team performance and market activities.
Key Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Certifications such as CFA, CFP, or equivalent are highly desirable.
Experience
- Minimum of 8–10 years of experience in wealth management, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record in client acquisition, portfolio management, and team leadership.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong knowledge of financial products, investment strategies, and regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent leadership and people management skills.
- High-level communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
- Analytical and strategic thinking with a focus on results.
