Job Description:

Job Description- Electrical Design Engineer

  Design and Development:

  • Design and develop electrical control panels based on customer specifications and project requirements, including PLC, VFD, MCC, PCC, and custom panels.
  • Create detailed schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings using design software (e.g., AutoCAD, EPLAN).
  • Select and size components, ensuring alignment with quality and safety standards.
  • Incorporate customer feedback and project specifications into the design for custom and complex projects.

  Estimation and Costing:

  • Prepare cost estimates for control panel projects, including material, labor, and installation costs.
  • Collaborate with the procurement team to obtain quotes and evaluate suppliers for components and materials.
  • Generate cost-benefit analyses to support decision-making in panel design and component selection.

  Installation and Commissioning:

  • Assist with the installation and commissioning of control panels, both in-house and at client locations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during installation to ensure smooth commissioning.
  • Ensure that installations meet project specifications, safety guidelines, and industry standards.

  Quality Assurance and Compliance:

  • Perform quality checks on panel designs and installations, ensuring compliance with standards such as IEC, UL, and relevant codes.
  • Document and maintain design changes, quality checks, and other project-related information.
  • Recommend improvements in design processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and reduce errors.

  Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain up-to-date project documentation, including bills of materials (BOM), test reports, and as-built drawings.
  • Provide regular updates to project stakeholders on design progress, cost status, and any issues that may impact project timelines or budgets.
