Job Description:
An Accounting Head (or Manager) oversees all accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, budgeting, and team leadership, managing daily tasks like AP/AR, GL, payroll, financial analysis, and strategic planning for fiscal health, while developing policies, guiding staff, and providing insights for senior management.
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare, analyze, and present financial statements (Balance Sheet, P&L, Cash Flow).

Supervise day-to-day accounting functions (AP, AR, GL, payroll) and month/year-end closes.

Develop, monitor, and manage budgets and financial projections.

Establish, implement, and enforce accounting policies and regulatory compliance (GAAP, IFRS).

Lead, train, mentor, and manage accounting staff.

Analyze data for trends, risks, opportunities, and provide strategic advice.

Oversee internal controls, manage external audits, and ensure data integrity.

Report financial status to senior management, executives, and external parties.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's/Master's in Accounting/Finance, CPA/CA preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle).
- Deep understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
Typical Reporting Structure:
- Reports to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) or Finance Director.
