SR. ACCOUNTANT FOR TYRE INDUSTRY - RAIPUR , CHHATTISGARH

The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing and performing advanced accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulations, and supporting management with financial analysis and insights. This role plays a key part in month-end and year-end close processes and may mentor junior accounting staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

• Manage general ledger activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and adjustments

• Lead month-end and year-end closing processes

• Ensure compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and company accounting policies

• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll accounting (as applicable)

• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations

• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis

• Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and documentation

• Monitor internal controls and recommend process improvements

• Assist with tax preparation, filings, and regulatory reporting

• Mentor and review work of junior accounting staff

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial initiatives

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• CPA, CMA, or ACCA certification preferred

• 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience

• Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS and financial reporting standards

• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, QuickBooks)

• Advanced Excel skills

• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

• Strong communication and leadership abilities
