Job Description:

Job Summary:

The Regional Head – Emerging Corporate is responsible for driving business growth, managing client relationships, and ensuring the profitability of the Emerging Corporate segment within the assigned region. This includes achieving financial targets, acquiring new clients, cross-selling products, and maintaining strong relationships with existing customers. The role also involves team management, compliance adherence, and contributing to strategic initiatives in alignment with organizational goals.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Business Development and Growth:

  • Develop and implement strategies to grow the Emerging Corporate portfolio in the region.
  • Achieve financial targets, including revenue, asset growth, and profitability.
  • Identify and acquire new clients in the Emerging Corporate segment.
  • Cross-sell banking products such as term loans, working capital, trade finance, cash management, and treasury solutions.

2. Client Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
  • Conduct regular client meetings to understand their financial needs and provide customized solutions.
  • Address customer concerns and ensure high satisfaction levels.

3. Team Leadership and Performance Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Relationship Managers and other staff.
  • Set performance goals and ensure alignment with the bank’s objectives.
  • Provide regular training and development opportunities for the team.

4. Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure adherence to internal policies, regulatory requirements, and risk management practices.
  • Conduct regular portfolio reviews to monitor asset quality and identify potential risks.
  • Address audit and compliance issues promptly.

5. Market Intelligence and Strategy:

  • Stay updated on market trends, competitive landscape, and economic conditions affecting the Emerging Corporate sector.
  • Provide insights and recommendations for improving products and services.

Key Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of corporate banking, especially in the Emerging Corporate segment.
  • Proven track record in sales and business development.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Analytical mindset with a focus on risk assessment and compliance.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis and credit evaluation.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field. An MBA/CA or equivalent qualification is preferred.
  • Experience: 10+ years of experience in corporate banking, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Experience in managing the Emerging Corporate segment is highly desirable.
