Job Description:

Operation of CHP Equipment:
- Operate and control combined cycle gas turbine (CCGT), steam turbines, boilers, heat recovery steam generators (HRSG), and associated auxiliary equipment to generate electricity and thermal energy in accordance with production demands and grid requirements.
- Monitor and adjust operating parameters such as fuel flow, steam pressure, turbine speed, and electrical output to optimize CHP system performance and efficiency.

Start-up and Shutdown Procedures:
- Execute start-up and shutdown procedures for CHP equipment following established protocols to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Coordinate with shift personnel and control room operators to ensure smooth transitions during plant startup, shutdown, and changeover procedures.

Performance Monitoring and Optimization:
- Monitor plant performance indicators, energy consumption, and efficiency metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization.
- Analyze data, trends, and performance reports to implement adjustments and modifications to maximize energy efficiency and minimize operating costs.

Maintenance and Inspections:
- Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance tasks, and equipment checks to ensure the reliability and integrity of CHP equipment.
- Perform troubleshooting and diagnostic procedures to identify and address equipment malfunctions or abnormalities in a timely manner.

Safety and Environmental Compliance:
- Adhere to safety protocols, procedures, and regulations while operating and maintaining CHP equipment to ensure a safe working environment.
- Implement environmental control measures, emissions monitoring, and pollution control systems to comply with environmental regulations and minimize environmental impact.

Emergency Response:
- Respond promptly to alarms, abnormal conditions, or emergency situations, and take appropriate actions to mitigate risks, protect personnel, and safeguard equipment.
- Follow emergency procedures, evacuation protocols, and incident reporting guidelines to ensure effective response and documentation of incidents.

Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of plant operation parameters, maintenance activities, equipment performance, and energy production data.
- Generate reports, logs, and documentation as required by management, regulatory agencies, or energy market operators.

Team Collaboration:
- Collaborate with other plant personnel including shift operators, maintenance technicians, engineers, and supervisors to coordinate activities, share information, and achieve production and energy efficiency goals.
- Provide training and guidance to junior operators and support staff as needed.
