Designation: Assistant Manager – Quality Assurance
Location: Andheri East
Working Days: Monday to Saturday (2 Saturdays Off)
Work Timings: 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Salary: Based on current package and caliber
Job Purpose: To ensure that the unit adheres to the highest standards of hygiene, food safety, and quality assurance as specified by airlines, regulatory agencies, and ISO standards. This includes maintaining quality control measures, vendor audits, and effective coordination with departments to uphold hygiene and food safety compliance.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or related field. Masters in related field preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in Quality Assurance, preferably in food production or catering.
- Familiarity with HACCP, ISO standards, and vendor audits
- Prior experience in similar roles within the hospitality industry
Job Description:
- Manage various airline audits and ensure compliance with their specific requirements.
- Analyze microbiological reports and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure timely preparation of foreign object and microbial reports.
- Oversee the unit’s adherence to specified hygiene standards.
- Coordinate with the Maintenance department for upkeep of equipment.
- Manage pest control and extermination activities.
- Ensure standard specifications are implemented in the Receiving department.
- Plan and execute vendor audit schedules for vendor development.
- Prepare and maintain cleaning schedules, detailing area and frequency.
- Retain Hygiene Audit Reports and rectify discrepancies.
- Monitor expenditures for cleaning supplies and chemicals.
- Maintain temperature and processing records.
- Monitor food, water, and ice cube quality.
- Oversee swab tests of equipment, linen, and food handlers.
- Verify CCP and OPRP activities per ISO standards.
- Coordinate with HR for medical check reports of food handlers.
- Follow up with Training and HR Managers for new employee training.
- Liaise with site representatives to ensure ISO standard practices.
- Collaborate with the Purchase department for vendor audit implementations
Major Areas of Responsibility
- Ensure compliance with hygiene and safety standards in all operations.
- Conduct vendor audits and ensure timely resolution of non-conformities.
- Monitor and maintain quality control records, including CCP and OPRP verification.
- Coordinate training programs related to hygiene and quality standards.
- Ensure raw materials meet purchase specifications and HACCP norms.
- Manage and oversee compliance with airline-specific quality requirements.
Key Customers
- Internal: QA Manager, Maintenance, HR, Purchase, and Training departments.
- External: Airline Representatives and Vendors.
Key Success Metrics
- Timely resolution of audit non-conformities.
- Adherence to hygiene and safety standards.
- Completion of vendor audits as per schedule.
- Compliance with ISO and HACCP requirements.
Language Proficiency
Should be fluent in both English and Hindi and preferably in Marathi.
