Job Description:

Role: Senior Test Engineer

Individual in this role ensures software quality by designing and executing test plans, developing automation frameworks, and integrating testing into CI/CD pipelines. They collaborate with teams, resolve defects, mentor juniors, and optimize processes to deliver high-quality software efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

Manual Testing

1. Analyze requirements and create detailed test plans and test cases.

2. Execute functional, integration, regression, and exploratory tests.

3. Identify, document, and track defects using tools like Azure , Jira etc

4. Ensure comprehensive test coverage for user interfaces, APIs, and databases.

5. Collaborate with stakeholders to clarify requirements and expectations.

Automation Testing

1. Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks.

2. Create and execute automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, Cypress, or Appium.

3. Integrate test suites into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.

4. Optimize automation scripts for performance and reliability.

5. Perform API testing using tools like Postman or RestAssured.

General Responsibilities

1. Analyze test results and perform root cause analysis for defects.

3. Ensure adherence to testing standards and best practices.

4. Communicate test progress, risks, and results to stakeholders.

5. Stay updated with the latest testing tools, trends, and techniques.

Requirements:

• Expertise with Web and Mobile automation. Should be very good at Mobile automation using Appium.

• Should be very good at creating efficient locators for Automation for both Web and Native.

• Good working experience of Api testing and automation.

• Very strong language skills in either Java or Python. Should be capable of handling and solving problems involving data structures with efficient algorithms.

• Good Manual testing knowledge with Intermediate to expert level

• Should be self starter and capable of handling tasks independently.

• Proactive and collective in driving the team objectives and communicating with the stake holders.

• Good to have Framework design and implementation expertise.

• Experience with any Test management tool (Jira or Azure devops).

• Experience with CICD tool (Jenkins or Azure pipelines).

• Good to have knowledge of working with any DB (SQL or No-Sql).

• Good working experience in agile driven projects. Should be capable of providing viable and rightful estimates for individual and team’s tasks if required.

• Good understanding of SDLC and STLC.

• Exposure to Performance testing.

• Knowledge on the BrowerStack is plus (added advantage)

• Good communication skills and able to interact with global team

• Ability to work in an international team and with different time zones
