Job Summary:
The General Manager for the Passenger Car Workshop is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, service delivery, and performance of the workshop. This role ensures the efficient and profitable operation of the workshop, ensuring high-quality service for customers and effective management of staff, resources, and processes. The ideal candidate should have at least experience as an Assistant General Manager (AGM) in a similar environment.
Key Responsibilities:
10 years in handling of passenger car Workshop at least with AGM post. Good communication skills, efficient in team handling & ability to drive service volume

Operational Leadership:
- Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the passenger car workshop, ensuring smooth service delivery and high operational efficiency.
- Ensure that all repair and maintenance services are conducted to the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction.
- Optimize workshop workflows and resource allocation to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.

Staff Management and Development:
- Lead, train, and motivate a team of technicians, service advisors, and support staff to achieve individual and team goals.
- Implement performance management strategies, conduct regular appraisals, and support the development of training programs.
- Foster a positive work environment focused on collaboration, safety, and continuous improvement.

Customer Service and Satisfaction:
- Ensure that customer service expectations are consistently met or exceeded by maintaining high-quality standards for repairs, maintenance, and other services.
- Handle customer complaints and concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring a positive resolution.
- Implement customer feedback mechanisms and continuously improve service offerings.

Financial and Resource Management:
- Prepare and manage the workshop’s budget, including expenses, revenue targets, and profitability goals.
- Monitor the performance of the workshop in terms of revenue, repair volumes, and customer satisfaction metrics.
- Ensure the proper allocation of tools, parts, and equipment, as well as the proper maintenance of workshop facilities.

Quality Control and Compliance:
- Oversee the implementation of health and safety regulations within the workshop to ensure a safe and compliant working environment.
- Ensure that all repairs and services are performed according to industry standards and manufacturer guidelines.
- Manage inventory levels to ensure adequate parts availability while avoiding excess stock.

Business Growth and Development:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities and partnerships that align with the workshop’s goals.
- Assist in developing marketing strategies and campaigns to promote the workshop’s services.
- Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure business growth.

Reporting and Analysis:
- Regularly report on the workshop's performance, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Analyze workshop data, including service times, customer satisfaction, and financial performance, to identify areas for improvement.
- Implement corrective actions as necessary to improve operational outcomes.
Qualifications:
- In-depth knowledge of passenger car service operations, repair processes, and vehicle systems.
- Candidate should be B.Tech /Diploma in Mech. Engg
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team of technicians and staff.
- Solid understanding of financial management, budgeting, and P&L responsibilities.
- Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze performance metrics and implement continuous improvement strategies.
- Familiarity with workshop management software and inventory control systems.
