Job Description:

We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented HR Compliance, Contracts, and Licensing Specialist to oversee the organization’s compliance with labor laws, licensing requirements, and vendor contracts. This role is vital in mitigating compliance risks and ensuring the company operates in a legally sound and efficient environment. The ideal candidate will have experience working with U.S.-based companies and managing compliance in highly regulated environments.

Note: Experience working with companies based in the United States is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Regulatory Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations both for the U.S. and India.
    • Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies that align with legal standards and organizational goals.
    • Prepare and manage documentation for regulatory audits and inspections.
  • Contract Administration:
    • Draft, review, and manage employee and vendor contracts to mitigate legal risks.
    • Track and ensure timely renewals, amendments, and terminations of contracts.
    • Collaborate with HR and legal teams to resolve contract-related issues and ensure alignment with legal standards.
  • Licensing and Certification Management:
    • Manage, track, and renew all necessary licenses, permits, and certifications required for employees and business operations.
    • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal licensing requirements.
    • Liaise with relevant licensing authorities to address discrepancies or issues and ensure timely renewals.
  • Vendor Management:
    • Oversee vendor contracts to ensure compliance with company policies, SLAs, and relevant laws.
    • Track vendor performance and maintain a compliance monitoring system.
    • Conduct regular audits to identify potential risks and ensure ongoing compliance with legal requirements.
  • Training and Development:
    • Develop and conduct training sessions on compliance-related topics such as workplace ethics, licensing, and data security.
    • Ensure that employees are updated on revised policies, procedures, and compliance responsibilities.
  • Audit and Risk Management:
    • Conduct internal audits related to compliance, contracts, and licensing.
    • Identify and proactively address areas of risk, including non-compliance, contract discrepancies, and vendor relationship issues.
    • Prepare and submit reports on compliance metrics, providing recommendations for improvements.
  • Compliance Documentation:
    • Ensure all compliance-related documentation is maintained accurately and available for review by regulatory agencies.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor/master’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3-7 years of experience in HR compliance, contract management, or licensing administration.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. and Indian labor laws, vendor relationship regulations, and licensing requirements.
  • Proven experience managing compliance within a regulated environment (preferably in insurance or technology).
  • Proficiency in Compliance Management Software and Contract Management Software (e.g., DocuSign, DRATA).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence key stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional certifications such as PHR, SHRM-CP, or CCEP.
  • Experience in audit processes and risk management.
  • Familiarity with compliance training tools and systems.
