Job Description:
A recruitment officer identifies, attracts, and hires candidates for an organization. They may also be responsible for managing the recruitment process, including advertising, interviewing, and selecting candidates.
Responsibilities
- Plan and advertise: Identify staffing needs and advertise job vacancies
- Source candidates: Research and screen candidates, and evaluate their qualifications and experience
- Interview candidates: Conduct interviews and assess candidates' performance
- Select candidates: Select candidates for interviews and make job offers
- Onboard new hires: Ensure new hires are provided with the necessary documents and information
- Manage recruitment process: Ensure compliance with employment and data protection laws
- Develop policies: Develop and maintain policies related to employment and human resources
- Provide support: Provide guidance and support to managers and employees
- Manage records: Maintain records of applications, interviews, and offers
Skills and qualifications
- Good communication skills
- Knowledge of employment law and industrial relations
- Experience with HRIS tools
- Ability to adapt to market changes
- Leadership skills
- Understanding of selection methods and techniques
- Proficiency with social media and job boards
