Credit Documentation Officer

 Mumbai Business need The Credit Documentation Officer is responsible for managing, preparing, and ensuring the accuracy of credit documentation required for loan approval and disbursement.

This role is essential in ensuring that all necessary documents are collected, verified, and maintained in compliance with regulatory guidelines, internal policies, and best practices.

The position also involves liaising with various internal teams, including credit analysts, legal, and operations, to ensure seamless loan processing.

Key Focus Area Document Verification & Compliance – Ensure loan documents meet RBI guidelines and company policies. Risk Assessment & Due Diligence – Review borrower credentials and mitigate credit risks.

Loan Documentation Management – Maintain accurate records of loan agreements and legal paperwork.

Process Optimization & Coordination – Streamline approval processes and coordinate with internal & external teams.

Roles and responsibilities Skills and experience 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. Prepare and ensure the accuracy of loan agreements, sanction letters, and security documents.

Verify borrower documentation (KYC, financial statements) for completeness and compliance.

Work with legal teams to ensure all documentation is legally binding and compliant.

Support loan disbursements by ensuring all documents are signed and ready.

Maintain organized records of all credit documentation in both physical and digital formats.

Collaborate with internal teams to resolve documentation issues and ensure smooth loan processing 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. Good communication skills (written and verbal).

Knowledge of regulatory requirements for NBFCs.

Ability to handle confidential information responsibly. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or related field.

2. 2-3 years of experience in credit documentation, preferably in NBFCs or banking. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Familiarity with loan management systems and Microsoft Office.
