Job Description:

Project Oversight:Supervising the day-to-day operations of civil construction projects, including site preparation, excavation, concrete work, road construction, and other related activities.

Team Management:Leading and managing construction teams, including workers and subcontractors, providing guidance, and ensuring efficient workflow.

Safety Compliance:Enforcing safety regulations, conducting safety meetings, and ensuring that all workers adhere to safety guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.

Quality Control:Monitoring construction activities to ensure they meet quality standards, specifications, and building codes.

Resource Management:Managing resources such as labor, materials, and equipment, and ensuring they are used effectively and efficiently.

Progress Monitoring:Tracking project progress against timelines and budgets, identifying potential issues, and implementing corrective actions.

Communication:Maintaining clear and effective communication with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.

Documentation:Keeping accurate records of project progress, costs, and quality control measures.

Problem Solving:Identifying and resolving any issues or problems that arise during the construction process.

Compliance:Ensuring all construction activities comply with environmental regulations and permits.
- Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction methods, and relevant regulations.
- Leadership and Management: Ability to lead and motivate teams, delegate tasks, and manage performance.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with various stakeholders.
- Problem-solving: Ability to identify and resolve issues quickly and effectively.
- Time Management: Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Safety Awareness: Thorough understanding of safety regulations and the ability to enforce them.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure quality and accuracy in construction work.
- A bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field is often preferred.
- Relevant experience in civil construction and supervision is also highly valuable.
- Certification in safety and construction management can be advantageous.
